Comparison of full body training and split training

Let us first define what is full body training and what is split body training. Full body training means such training in which you do not focus on specific body parts but train your body in full. So you basically focus more on compound muscle exercises that result in training of more body muscles and hence train your whole body.

Now split training programme means such training programme in which your focus is on specific body parts and you split your exercise for various parts. You may be training your arms one day, then your shoulders next day, your chest 3rd day and so on. Now let us see which bodybuilding strategy can work for you and is better.

First thing is that if you are a skinny guy, then you must focus on full body training. Reason is that in full body training, you do not train your body very hard. Your focus is on the frequency of training and not on the huge intensity. When you train yourself in split mode, you train your muscles very hard because your focus in on one particle muscle group. Skinny guys normally do not get good results with split training because if they train very hard, their body does not repair and grow itself.

Full body training also helps fatty people lose weight because more muscles are involved in training session. It also implies again that it will not be good for skinny guys because they cannot afford to lose weight J.

However, if you have got a muscular body, you can go for the split programme because it lets you get big muscles due to hard training on focused muscle groups. It also allows you to give rest to your muscles and as a result they tend to repair and grow. Also, split body exercises can avoid over training of the muscles because sufficient amount of gap is available between the exercises of a particular muscle group. You may also try a combination of both programmes to help your body grow.
