How to avoid injuries in bodybuilding

Avoiding injuries during bodybuilding is very important because it helps you to remain fit and keep performing your exercises with full vigor. Those who fall victim to injuries either become dis-hearted or leave bodybuilding forever. But question arises, how to avoid injuries to make sure that you get a good workout routine? In this article, I will explain few tips which will help you to avoid injuries. These tips are:

1- Always warm up your body before you start exercise which is very important for your muscles and helps a great deal to avoid injuries. You can simply jump around and stretch your body to warm it up. You need to warm up your body just by jumping or stretching your muscles for 2-3 minutes. Warming up your body prepares your muscles for heavier workouts and makes sure that your body is ready for hard training.

2- Next important thing is that you start with smaller weights and slowly increase them in accordance with your comfort level. Lifting heavy weights too early is extremely dangerous and is a major source of injuries. Most of the guys, who are new at gyms, tend to lift very heavy weights too early and result in injuries and in some cases even severe injuries. I have personally witnessed that young and inexperienced guys who are new at gyms, straightway start lifting heavy weights just by seeing that other bodybuilder around them are also doing the same. They just forget that their seniors have invested lots of time and efforts to reach to this level of heavy weight lifting and training. So lift small and gradually increase weights.

3- Another important thing is that your focus should be to lift weights and perform exercises in correct manner. Do not just go on increasing your reps. Main focus should be that first perform exercise in its correct manner even if you are not able to achieve desired reps. Once your stamina increases, your reps will automatically increase. So again, do not go for increased reps but for correct form of exercise.
