If you are thinking to build your body really really well, you should have those genetic characteristics and let me tell you that only 5% have them. So if you are outside of those 5% then you should really not think of it because it will not bring you desired results. I do not mean that you really give up but I am trying to make you understand that if you dream of what is impossible, then you are setting yourself up for disappointment only which should not be the case. The point I am trying to make is that if you start with right type of exercise with right expectations, you will get right results and will not get frustrated. Most guys who get frustrated, either give up or start taking dangerous steroids so that is why right expectations are important.

So the ways to manage your bodybuilding expectations are to think properly, take a look at your genetics and then decide what to do. In case you are not genetically suitable for a professional bodybuilder, don’t go for it. In this case, keep your expectations correct, plan your exercise well, take good diet and rest and you will find yourself better than most of the bodybuilders of your age.
